Map alias: human-readable URL and production version of the map
This article will tell you how to use the Map Alias feature - create a production version of the map and a human-readable map URL.
Map alias allows creating a human-readable link for the map and having a production version of the map.
Choose an Alias
Go to the “Overview” editor tab:
Choose a URL-frindly and available alias for the map. Click “Set Alias”:
Publish map
By default, all changes made are published to the map immediately. But changes to the map alias are propagated only when you “Publish” them.
So you can have a production version of the map now:
Share the Map Alias link
Open the “Share / Embed” dialog to get a link for the map alias:
